The East Grand Forks/Grand Forks Chamber and Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation will co-host a forum for the business community, to learn details of Grand Forks Public School District’s upcoming referendum.
The Grand Forks School Board on March 22 passed a resolution asking taxpayers to approve an $86 million bond referendum, and a 10-mill increase for the building fund, to support consolidating three elementary schools and one middle school, into one school. The referendum will address deferred maintenance and what efforts will be needed to support workforce education needs of students in Grand Forks. A special election is planned for June 22.
The forum will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at the Red River High School auditorium. The event will be livestreamed by the school district.
