Chaffee County Housing and Health wants to hear your story on personal experience with resilience. The Office of Housing, in cooperation with Public Health, plans to host a multi-day virtual workshop in early November where you’ll learn what makes a good story. The event will teach you how to put pieces of your personal experiences into a narrative that can inspire others and influence decision-makers.

Participants in the training will gain production and presentation tips that will allow you to shine on camera and present yourself more effectively in any situation. Officials from Housing and Health say that they want to hear from business owners, nonprofits, students, parents, employees, and all members of the Chaffee community to create a diverse set of stories about resilience and coping with housing challenges.

The five-day event will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on November 2, 4, 6, 9, and 13.  Since this is a large commitment, Chaffee Housing and Health will offer childcare, computer loans for use during the workshop, incentives for lost time at work, and assistance on other barriers you may have in order to participate.

Chaffee County residents with diverse backgrounds who are willing to share their stories of resilience are asked to contact Chaffee County Public health at 719-539-4510.
