Commission to hear audit report, city talks dragstrip improvements - Great Bend Tribune

The Barton County Commission and the Great Bend City Council both meet Monday, and both plan virtual meetings due to COVID-19 public gathering restrictions.

The commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. The meeting will be open to the public but will also be streamed live due to COVID-19.

It will be streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens may view the meeting through their own sign-in or by signing in anonymously. To participate, follow the link https://bit.ly/3aCoRVE. Those who wish to take part in the discussion of any item can call 620-793-1800 for instructions.

The agenda includes the 2020 county audit report, intersection safety improvements at NW 50 Road near NW 10 Avenue, and two executive sessions, one for attorney-client privilege and one for non-elected personnel.

The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, at the Great Bend Events Center, 3111 10th St. One can also view the meetings on Access TV via Cox Cable Channel 20 or live online at https://ift.tt/2WAwKEE. The meeting will be recorded.  The agenda includes changes to Kansas Street to better accommodate cyclists, a utility easement for Nextech at the Great Bend Municipal Airport and problems with the recent resurfacing work at the Sunflower Rod and Custom Association dragstip.
