Israel is pursuing "forceful deterrence" against Hamas, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday as the country’s military struck dozens more targets inside the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu made the comment while meeting with foreign ambassadors.
"You can either conquer them, and that’s always an open possibility, or you can deter them," he said, according to The Associated Press. "We are engaged right now in forceful deterrence, but I have to say, we don’t rule out anything."
