The three Clallam County commissioners will review funding recommendations of the Homelessness Task Force on Monday.

The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

A total of $1.63 million was requested in the 2021-2023 homeless program funding cycle.

A review committee ranked the proposals and recommended $1.15 million in expenditures to 15 projects that address homelessness, according to a summary provided by the Clallam County’s Health and Human Services Department.

Other agenda items for the work session include:

• A resolution creating an American Rescue Plan Act special revenue fund.

• A call for bids for pressure washing and minor repairs of the Clallam County Courthouse.

• A grant application for substance abuse disorder prevention services.

• An amended agreement with U.S. Forest Service for noxious weed control.

• A call for bids for an annual supply of hot mix and liquid asphalt.

• A resolution appointing Justin Pollack to the Carlsborg Community Advisory Council.

• A resolution appointing Helen Kenoyer to the Behavioral Health Program Fund Advisory Board.

• Agreements with Clallam County Genealogical Society, New Dungeness Light Station, North Olympic History Center and Sequim Museum for the Heritage Grant program.

• Notice of a May 25 hearing for amending county policy for purchasing, bids and contracts.

Commissioners will hold their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Action items include:

• An agreement with Clallam Conservation District for an environmental site assessment for the Dungeness off-channel reservoir project.

• An amended agreement with Green Solutions, LLC. for an update of the Clallam County Solid Waste Management Plan.

• An amended agreement with Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe to provide restoration services for the lower Dungeness River floodplain.

• An amended agreement with Anchor QEA, LLC for the Agnew Irrigation District’s irrigation outtake at McDonald Creek.

• A landowner acknowledgement form for fish passage barrier removal on Bear Creek and Iverson roads.

Port Angeles city

The Port Angeles City Council will hear an update on regional broadband efforts at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Port of Port Angeles commissioners will discuss executive director recruitment when they meet in special session at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Olympic Medical Center commissioners will hear of Port Angeles real estate purchases when they meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Sequim schools

The Sequim School Board will discuss an academic and student well-being recovery plan when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.

A workshop on equity is set for 5 p.m.

Academic and student well-being recovery plans are due to the state June 1. These plans are required as a condition of receiving Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds.

The board also will discuss the naming of the stadium.

Strait ERN

The Strait of Juan de Fuca Ecosystem Recovery Network will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday.

The Strait ERN is one of the Puget Sound Partnership’s Local Integrating Organizations working to implement the Action Agenda for Puget Sound protection and recovery.

It includes all of the tribes and local jurisdictions, and most of the non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and key business groups with interest in the Strait Action Area, which extends from Cape Flattery near Neah Bay east to Point Wilson in Port Townsend, said coordinator John Cambalik.
