MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine City Council will hear three presentations at their in-depth meeting Thursday (Jan. 14, 2021) including presentations on Parks & Recreation programs, a unique transportation opportunity, and a review of the city’s risk management program.
The Muscatine City Council will meet in virtual session starting at 7 p.m. Thursday. Information on joining the virtual session and how to make a comment during the meeting is listed below.
The session will also be broadcast live on the City of Muscatine YouTube channel and will also be shown live on Muscatine Power & Water Cable Channel 2.
Kelsie Stafford, program supervisor for the Parks & Recreation Department, will lead a presentation to the City Council on the innovations made to recreational programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A unique transportation opportunity will be presented by Kate Shoemaker, Senior Account Executive, Global Expansion, for Bird, on the potential for using shared electric scooters in Muscatine. Bird is a reliable last mile electric scooter rental service whose mission is to make cities more livable by reducing car usage, traffic, and congestion.
Stephanie Romagnoli, Human Resource Director for the City of Muscatine, will round out the evening of presentations with a discussion on Risk Management Programs utilized by the City.
