COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia City Council is set to hear from several people about the Columbia Police Department response to protests and systematic racism at it's meeting Monday.

According to the city council agenda, at least five people are scheduled to speak to the council calling for change to institutional racism and how the city can do better moving forward.

It comes following two consecutive weeks of protests calling for justice in the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

The city council meeting will start at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
