Coloradans up and down the Front Range and throughout northern and southern parts of the state may notice an uptick in noise and dust come Monday, courtesy of the Army.

The Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion — part of the Special Operations Aviation Command — will conduct noise-generating training starting Monday and ending May 14 throughout the Front Range, the Army announced Saturday in a news release.

Increased noise and dust can be expected into the evenings and through the night, the release said.

The training helps student pilots and other crew member train in mountain and desert environments should they be called into duty around the world, the Army said.

Noise complaints can be directed to the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office at 719-526-9849.

For more information, the public is encouraged to call the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office at 719-526-4143 or 719-526-7525. After hours, call the 24-hour Fort Carson Operations Center at 719-526-5500 and ask for the on-call public affairs officer.
